I'm Anna, a former teacher turned stay-at-home mom.

Actually, I've found motherhood quite similar to teaching, except no one comes to pick these kids up at 3pm. I currently use my vast knowledge of child development and pedagogy to become the best diaper changer I can be.

I live in North Carolina with my hunky husband and 3 kids, Jack (5), Henry (3) and Elise (2).

The good Lord blessed me with 3 children in 3.5 years and I'm not even using the word blessed sarcastically. Before kids I kind of thought I had it all together, but there is nothing like a screaming newborn at 3am to make you realize you actually know nothing and your only options are insanity or prayer. My children teach me patience, humility, love, selflessness and also how to appreciate the humor in bodily functions.

Now, instead of striving for perfection, I search for the perfection in all of life's little messes, and I write our family's stories with honesty and perhaps the occasional touch of humor.
